Lendy Lately

This week I posted on Facebook that Luna brought home a virus her first week of preschool, and all the moms replied with warnings of the year to come.  This is not very promising on the health front, since I am sitting here smelling like vapor rub with a heavy head and drinking hot tea.  Any day now I will bust out of this rut, but its not happening today! Ha! For now, here's what I have been up to lately...

We've been enjoying the daytime moons, especially on Tuesdays after dance class.  I always tell Luna stories about the moon.  I tell her the moon is watching over us and guiding us until we make it home safely.  So every time we get off the car once we get home, she'll say "I want to go see the moon and say goodnight." (Can you spot the daytime moon in my photo above?)

I finally finished reading this and I began The Likeness which is Tana French's follow up book

On the days I've managed to get out of the house, I have been wearing these high-rise skinny jeans, and seriously, why did I wait so long to get into high-rise jeans!? They are fantastic.
These ginger immunity shots are my favorite way to bump up my overall health. I have also been loving this kombucha made of turmeric, carrot and ginger.  I just wanna dunk myself in ginger and turmeric and take in all their health benefits.

You all know I am a huge podcast listener, I just listened to the Mommy Makers episode on the Tamarindo podcast which featured my friend Betsy Aimee who is brilliant, and I also enjoyed the Becoming Starry-Eyed episode on the Coffee + Crumbs podcast with the Mandy Arioto who spoke about MOPS and her new book which sounds so good.

I am still doing the September whole30 challenge, and even though I don't feel like cooking while dealing with this cold, I threw together this easy chicken stew and it was delicious.  The quick recipe is in the comments.

I've been watching the Gran Hotel on Netflix.  It has a lot of the same actors from Velvet, and just as juicy.

The week is coming to an end so let's try and make the best of it!
