This weekend will be the celebration of my first Mother's Day! For me, being a mother has been a journey and a surreal experience. I was never in the school of thought of the young girls/woman who always loved babies and could not wait to have their own children. For me children, were never really on my life track. I focused on my education and career, and never even expected to find the love of my life. I truly believe I have been repaid for my hard work, loyalty, respect and for always being a good girl/woman. Some may have seen it as boring or that I didn't take any chances, but I am reaping the rewards! On February 3, 2013 we were blessed with our daughter, Luna which propelled me into mommyhood. The woman that thought she'd be spending her days in a courthouse is now learning to be a stay-at-home mom and settling into a better life than I ever expected! So long story short, becoming a mother still seems like a dream. I stare at our beautiful daughter and cannot believe she belongs to me!
To all the mothers-to-be, mothers, grandmothers, step-mothers...
For my Mother's Day celebration, my husband has surprised me with a weekend trip to my favorite city, San Francisco!
It is going to be interesting staying in a fancy hotel with our three month-old baby girl! I am hoping everything goes smooth! I have my packing list ready and I am so glad my husband told me ahead of time (spontaneity is out the door now)! I researched some easygoing things we can do with a baby and stroller in tow, and no matter what, I plan to go to my favorite spots (La Boulange, Ferry Building Marketplace, Miette) and try at least one new restaurant (Wayfare Tavern).
What are your Mother's Day plans? Have a wonderful weekend!!
