Lendy Lately

Happy Thanksgiving!  I am trying to find my way back to my day-to-day blog posts without coming off blasé as to what is happening in our country.  With a heavy heart, I know we must go on.  Now, that I have come up for air, I am excited to currently be on vacation at my parents house. There is nothing better than to be surrounded by the people I love. Here's what I've been up to lately and a little of what I'll be doing while in Southern California.

I bought my tickets to the Super Mamás Vision Board Party.  The event is sold out, but keep looking out for their upcoming events, I promise you will not be disappointed.

I signed up for Notes from the Universe on Tut.com, and my daily note is always a breath of fresh air:
Being spiritual means a good many things, Lendy , and most of them are misunderstood by a good many people. So to clarify, here's how I see "it" and you:
Being spiritual means seeing yourself as divine, not just of the divine; a creator, not just the created. You needn't be saved, forgiven, or fixed. You've already changed the world, added to its brilliance, and done enough. You're there because in some long forgotten time, you already earned your wings.
Of course, there are still challenges. You wanted it this way. It's part of your nature and they'll serve to make you even greater. In spite of these, you are still a winner, you are among the relative few who have been so bold, and today is part of your victory lap.
Amen.

We started decorating for Christmas and I fell in love with the Camp Christmas section at Target for our fun tree in the dining area.

I am taking a break from some of my favorite podcasts because I need to drown out the political noise.  My favorite solace has been listening to music.  I listen to my Mellow Jams play list and Salsa Baby! play list

We are still contemplating on what fun things to do while we are here.  If we can't make it to Disneyland, then I have my eye on Santa's Village. I have so many happy memories going to Santa's Village, and it has recently reopened after years of being closed.

I loved Cup of Jo's Bake Sale with Kids as a way to pay it forward and get the kiddos involved.  Luna still does not understand what's going on, but I did donate.  Here's a great list of causes you can donate to

We finally succumbed to The Walking Dead craze, and we've been binge-watching.  It's so darn addicting and has actually been a great distraction as of late.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by love, and if politics come up, taken them head on my friends.
