We have returned from our family holiday in San Luis Obispo, and it was a huge success.
Our first day was spent relaxing and touristing around town. We had dinner at Cafe Roma for my mom's birthday, and while we waited we checked out the train station. (I've never ridden on the Amtrak train, but its on my bucket list.) After dinner, we headed to the Madonna Inn for dessert.
My parents were in grandparent heaven all weekend long. The following day I could not pass up an early morning run.
Next, we headed to Avila Beach. We played, made sand castles and had a wonderful lunch at the Custom House.
For our last day in SLO, we had breakfast at our go to spot Apple Farm. The last time we were here, my husband and I were dating. After breakfast we did some shopping downtown, and then headed home.I am so happy we got to make new memories in San Luis Obispo and Avila beach with my family, and most importantly with our Luna.
I definitely recommend San Luis Obispo and the surrounding areas for families to explore. There are so many fun things to do so we intend to go back soon.
