I decided to get fit (again) and when I do, I go hard...too hard. I am currently nursing yet another injury which is so lame. I did a Jillian Michaels class at the gym and it was not a good idea. I have horrible posture and unless a drill sergeant is checking me, I should not be allowed to exercise while holding free weights. Lesson: You don't have to go hard or go home. Instead, go slow and steady because consistency is what makes the difference. Here's what I have been up to lately...
These stretches on my foam roller and ice packs are on daily rotation. I foresee a lot of yoga in this old lady's future.
I have been wearing a white gauze dress or a swing dress with pockets. (The dress in the photo is no longer available.)
I'm reading In a Dark, Dark Wood and The Hands-on Home is a beautiful book.
I cannot stop watching the novela, Velvet, on Netflix. It makes me want to dress like a 1960's femme fatale. Also, if you haven't watched the Tony Robbins documentary, go now. Life-changing. Promise.
In case you missed it, I jotted down my thoughts on Luna going to Preschool.
We got this pool (thanks to Auntie Carrie). Our backyard summer fun just got seriously better, and Luna is in heaven.
I am on birthday countdown. Yes, I'm a grown woman who still gets excited over her birthday. Don't judge! Here's 21 things you may not know about me.
I get excited too! :)
ReplyDeleteI have the worst knees, so I'm trying to go semi-hard, because old lady knees.
