Friday Favorites

What are you up to this weekend? I have been under a migraine fog for the past two days and I am hoping this weekend I can get some extra rest and hopefully shake it off. Luckily extra help is arriving soon.  My parents are due to arrive on Sunday, and we are excited.   Hope you have a nice weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Outfit: Slate Blue Backless Sweater -via Lulus.com. I recently saw this beautiful woman wearing a black sweater similar to this one, and it was sexy without being too overt.  

Favorite Etsy Find: TeePee Incense Burner -via Hicklin Homestead. These little teepees are adorable, and on top of that they are functional.  

Favorite Manicure: Essie in Truth or Flair -photo via Short n' Chic.  My nails are blue again. I go throw phases, but I gravitate towards blues.  This blueish gray tone is beautiful.

Favorite Planner: Simplified Planner -via Emily Ley. I have mentioned this planner several times, but wanted to share that I am almost a month in and I absolutely love it.  

Favorite DIY: No-sew throw Blanket -via Maison de Pax.  It has been so cold and rainy in Northern California and I realized our throw blankets are looking kinda janky.  I am all about a no-sew project, and its nice that you can make it whatever colors you choose. This would be a perfect rainy day project. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Crazy by Gnarls Barkley.  I realize Cee-Lo Green may be a little controversial, but you have to admit there is something about this song...

Friday Favorites

What are you up to this weekend? I am excited that we are supposed to have a rain-free weekend, so I am hoping we can get outside. Of course, I have things that need to be done like Kondo cleaning my closet, but that does not sound as appealing as a walk along the river with my little family.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Manicure: Lilac Edgy Moons -via So Nailicious.  Spring isn't here yet, but I am feeling this lilac color. Pretty right?!

Favorite DIY: Natural Room Freshener -via A Beautiful Mess.  I use a rose spray to freshen up our home and especially Luna's room because natural sprays are hard to come buy or they're pricey.  This is the perfect alternative. 

Favorite Fun: West is Best Map -via Pinterest.  I was researching and pinning for our big summer vacation, and ran into this map.  Love it!  We will be traveling somewhere not to far, but new to us and I can't wait!

Favorite Outfit: Floral Wrap Dress -via Nordstrom.  I still have floral maxi dresses on the mind.  I can't wait until my mom comes up so that we can go shopping together. 

Favorite Cake: Rose Buttercream -via PoppyTalk.  Luna's birthday is around the corner and I know she would love this!  Her favorite colors (like most toddler girl's) has become purple and pink. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Dream A Little Dream of Me by Robbie Williams.  I forgot about this little gem, and recently added it to Luna's bedtime playlist.

What are you up to this weekend?  I'll be over here hiding from the heat. It has been in the 100's here and the heatwave is still going, therefore, my plan mostly includes air conditioning.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and try to stay cool, here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Hair & Beauty: 8 Braids for short hair -via Byrdie.com.  I'll admit my hair is in a bun 99% of the time, especially with this heat, but I want to try out some of these braids. 

Favorite DIY: Giant Frames for Engineer Prints -via Yellow Brick Home. My online friend, Lauren from The Little Things We Do, recently posted her engineer prints, and it reminded me that I need to get on this. 

Favorite Dessert: Strawberries and Vanilla Cream Paletas -via Lola's Cocina. I recently made these, and lets just say they are all gone, and Luna asked for more. Yum!

Favorite Fitness: Fitspiration journal -via Target.  As I mentioned here, this summer I have lost myself a little, so I began using this journal and its been helpful. 

Favorite Wanderlust: Pelican Inn (Muir Beach) - via Pelican Inn.  My birthday is coming up, and what I really want is a a little getaway.  We love Muir Beach so this may be my first choice. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (from "Mary Poppins") - Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke. Doesn't Mary Poppins make everybody happier!?
