Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend?  It's been a long short week for us, but we're finally at the end of it. This weekend we have a cleared slate which is nice.  Of course we will be doing some pool lounging and a whole lotta nothing.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Quote: Start each day with a dance party-via Hungry Digital Media. This is a good idea all year long! We have our own family Spotify station which we play every morning.  It really does help set the tone for our day. 

Favorite Accessory: $9 buck Panama Hat -via Walmart.  I've always been a hat girl, but hats and mommy-ing can be tricky.  So you gotta mix it up with some cheap hats that you won't mind tossing in the car, in the shopping cart or having your babes steal them. It's a rare occasion that I trek over to Walmart and when I do I realize they have some decent finds up in that mother! Haha!  I went in to check out Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty line and picked this eyeliner and this primer as well. 

Favorite Shoes: Nike Slides -via Nike.com.  I never thought I was a slide girl until I got me some fakenstocks (haha!) then I understood the appeal of sliding my foot in a sandal and running out the door. So when I slid my foot into some Nike slides it was an Aha! moment. 

Favorite Swimsuit: Laser Cut Tankini -via Target.  Confessional: I am not a bathing suit/summer girl. So for me to say this is my favorite swimsuit means A LOT.  My girlfriend and I have completely different body types and both tried this on and loved it.  I like that you can pick your bottoms so I also bought these high-waist bottoms. 

Favorite Recipe to Try: Sweet Potato & Grilled Portabello Tacos -via Cocoon Cooks. Ever since I watched the What the Health documentary on Netflix I have been eating a la vegetarian style. I am leaning to eating as plant-based as possible, and tacos like this make it happen!

Favorite Manicure: Chanel nail polish in Emeraude.  If you're buying hats at Walmart and swimsuits from Target, you totally deserve a summer nail polish splurge.  I have been eyeing a lot of green tones, and this one is pretty. Can you imagine it under the water with your new swimsuit.  I also like the color Espadrilles. 

Favorite Song: If I say Despacito everyone's heads may explode, but guess what who cares! If you're anti-Beiber, then stick to the original.

Hey Guys! What are you up to this weekend? Tonight we are going to a fun wine tasting party at our neighbor's house.  We are each bringing two bottles of the same wine and after the blind tastings, whoever brought the winning wine, gets to take all the bottles home. What a great idea, right!? Last weekend we were busy, and did not get much rest, so this weekend I am hoping for lazy mornings and pool time. Favorite Accessory: Mermaid Crown -via Chelseas Flower Crowns.  Here's a cheap, but cute DIY version.  Lately, Luna has been into crowns (no surprise in toddler girl-land).  I think it would be fun to craft up some mermaid crowns. 

Favorite Matchy-Matchy: Best Friends Bombers-via Gardnerandthegang. This mother-daughter pic made me smile. This may not be for everyday wear, but come on! I can already see Luna and I wearing them. 

Favorite Recipe to try: Baked Brie with Figs, Walnuts & Ancho Chili Honey-via La Crema. As I mentioned above, I'm going to a Pinot Noir tasting party, if I win all the leftover pinot, I really want to pair it with this.  Plus, did you guys read this article from The New Yorker, Love The Fig.  It is so interesting!

Favorite Shoes: Pointed Toe Smoking Slipper -via Sole Society.   These are not for everyone or everyday, but they are so fun.  These would look awesome with rolled up boyfriend jeans and a tee or a dress, especially as we start transitioning into Fall. 

Favorite Beauty: 10 Best Light Pink Nail Polishes -via StyleCaster.  I have been rockin' some bright nails, but now I am in the mood to chill out and go back to a pretty pink. 

Favorite Song of the Week:  Rise by Katy Perry.  I just added this to my running playlist. The olympics video is so inspiring. 

Friday Favorites

Hey Guys! What are you up to this weekend? We have a jam-packed weekend filled with celebrations.  Tomorrow my closest friend's son is turning 4, and I am excited to see his little face light up when he sees all the good stuff his mommy planned, and on Sunday it is our 7 year wedding anniversary (I love you more than ever MAS!).  I have so much to be grateful for and with all that is going on around the world, all I want to do is show the people in my life how much I love them even more than I already do. Favorite Home Decor:  Vanity as a nightstand -via Hunted Interior.  I currently have a regular 2-drawer nightstand, but this vanity remix is in my future.  It will be nice to have somewhere to sit and apply my makeup.  

Favorite Shoes: Kate Spade Beatriz Sandals. I have been trying to stick to whites and denims all summer so having a pop of color is pretty.  These would be fun with an all white outfit. 

Favorite Look Lately: Pink Lips + Whites -via Shay Mitchell.  Like I said above, reaching for whites this summer has made my life so much easier, but I still need a pop of color, and you all know I love a bright lip. 

Favorite Accessory: Kate Spade Going Places Square Scarf.  This would be cute wrapped around the wrist, on your purse, neck, head...okay I just like it.  It is elegant and again will add some color. 

Favorite Dessert: Chocolate Berry Cake via The Story of Cake. My friend Carrie is an amazing baker, and it is her fault I find myself browsing baked goods.  Isn't this cake beautiful?  And it has raspberries which are my favorite. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Hands to Myself by Selena Gomez...darn catchy song! Ha!

Happy Father's Day weekend! What are you up to this weekend? As I mentioned here, my family was visiting so our days have been jam-packed, and therefore, this weekend my husband, Luna and I are recuperating by having a lazy weekend.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Father's Day Gift: Tosan Convertible Adventure Pack. I won this backpack and these tees for my husband, and honestly its fantastic. Every daddy needs a cool backpack. 

Favorite Accessory: Bun Cuff -via Chloe + Isabel. I follow Jen Atkin and she truly is a hair genius so her collaboration on these hair accessories are spot on. I wear a bun all the time so I think these would be a good investment.   

Favorite Home Decor:  Wall of mirrors -via Bolig Magasin (©Frederikke Heiberg).  I am kinda digging this wall of glass for our dining room. 

Favorite Trend:  Off-the-shoulder lace detail dress -via Asos.   My husband and I recently went on a date night, and I finally got to wear this dress. I was happy that others loved it as much as I did.  I am totally feeling the off-the-shoulder trend. 

Favorite Manicure: Nude & White half and half -via Brit + Co. I used to wear nude colors on my fingernails, but it can be a little boring.  This manicure is such a fun twist on classic neutrals. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Happy because its still a favorite choice in our home! Luna loves the book too. 

Friday Favorites

Hey guys! What are you up to this weekend? This week has been exhausting between early morning workouts, meal prep, hot days and Luna officially in a toddler bed, I'm ready to clock out. I will be ordering this clock asap.  Tonight the Copa America begins with USA vs. Columbia, and these games will definitely be playing in the background until the tournament is over. We have Luna's dress rehearsal tomorrow, and then we will be preparing our home for guests which means clean like crazy before they arrive.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Dessert: Vegan Key Lime Pie -via Yummy Mummy Kitchen.  I love lime/lemon and berry combination, and thhis looks delicious. 

Favorite Accessory: Bad Hair Day hat -via Shop Riff Raff. This one is perfect for those early morning summer park playdates. 

Favorite Drink: Underwood Wines in a can.  Lately I have been obsessed with individual wine servings.  A chilled Rosé or Sauvignon Blanc is a necessity sometimes.  I really want to try these, but not sure if they're just cute or they're actually good. 

Favorite DIY: Wine/Liquor Bottle Tiki Torches -via The Garden Glove.  My friend Carrie recently starting turning her wine bottles into these, and I think its brilliant.  I can't wait to add a few of these to our outdoor table.  

Favorite Beauty: Estēe Lauder Pure Color in Love Bites or Pure Red. I am currently wearing this and I get so many compliments.  I like that Estēe Lauder sticks to classics and makes a beautiful products. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Funky Town by Lipps, Inc. because this is a good clean the house motivator.

Happy Memorial Weekend! What are you up to this weekend? Besides Luna's dance class the only other thing on our agenda is to watch the Champions League final because my husband has been hinting at it for weeks.  We may also head to Family Palooza at the Crocker Art Museum. After all--we have an extra day off! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Home Decor: Succulents galore -via Zilverblauw.  Her Instagram and blog are magical with lots and lots of pink and greenery. 

Favorite Mani: Essie in Carousel -via Beauty.com I am liking this oldie, but goodie Coral shade. 

Favorite Drink: Fruit pops with a splash of champagne -via Southern Living. They had me at champagne! 

Favorite Children's Book: Tallulah's Tutu -via Amazon. Lately Luna has been loving all of Tallulah's adventures.  

Favorite Song of the Week: UB40 Red Red Wine.

Hey Guys! What are you up to this weekend? We have no big plans which is nice for a change.  I am looking forward to lazying around the house with my husband and Luna. Slow weekends are priceless. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Accessory: Straw Tote -via Target.  I really like this J. Crew tote, but I don't like the price for a seasonal bag.  Luckily for us Target never disappoints! 

Favorite Made me Laugh: Adios Mercury Retrograde! According to my favorite horoscope, Mercury's annoying retrograde is coming to an end. 

Favorite Beauty: Heritage Store Rosewater -via Thrive Market.  I use this spray on a daily and absolutely love it.  I use it to refresh my face, hair and body, as well as spray a little on Luna when she wants "perfume." 

Favorite Flowers: Peonies -via Trader Joes.  Its peonies season at Traders and for $6.99 you can come home with these beauties. 

Favorite Book: The Skin Type Solution -via Amazon.  This book is the bomb-diggity! I've been having issues with my skin ever since having Luna which includes dryness and rosacea, and this book is super informative. The best part is you take a test which helps you figure out your exact skin type and then she provides you with low, mid and high range products to use for your skin type.  

Favorite Song of the Week: P.Y.T. Michael Jackson.  This always gets me dancing. 

Friday Favorites

Hey Guys! What are you up to this weekend? We have a busy weekend ahead with ballet class, recital photo session and we are heading to the Central Valley for my mother-in-law's birthday celebration.  My husband was gone for a few days on a business trip so I am looking forward to tonight's in-home date night.  A little chirashi and a glass of this sauvignon blanc may be necessary. Favorite Outfit: 25 Ways to style the classic stripes pattern.-via StyleCaster.  I already have a vest similar to this so I am on the lookout for a comfy striped dress. 

Favorite Recipe to try:  Snap Peas + Cashew Hummus -via Snixy Kitchen. Hummus and snap peas is one of Luna's favorite snacks so I think amping it up adult style would be delicious. 

Favorite Flick: East Side Sushi. I have been waiting for the release of this for what feels like forever.  As soon as I received the notification from Redbox that this was in, I headed straight there.  

Favorite Accessory: Kanken Mini Backpack -via Nordstrom.  I am finally downsizing my backpack! I currently use this large Herschel backpack, but now that Luna is almost completely potty trained I do not have to carry as much.  The great thing about this mini is that once Luna goes to school she can wear it.  I'm thinking ahead. 

Favorite Scent: Botanical Mini Perfumes -via Good Medicine Beauty Lab.  When I am out in about with Luna I like to wear natural scents.  I usually reach for this rosewater spray which I love, but I feeling like its time to mix it up.  These minis would be a great way to test some new scents out. 

Favorite Song of the Week: Can't stop the feeling by Justin Timberlake.  Obvi that Luna & I are loving this happy song.

Favorite Recipe to Try: Paleo Jicama Tacos -via The Paleo Paparazzi.  These spicy sausage tacos look so good.  They remind me of these at Lolo in San Francisco.

Favorite Thrift store Find: Bailey's vintage sugar bowl (set) -via VestedInterest. I found the cute sugar bowl below at my local thrift store for 99 cents, and I cannot wait to plant a little succulent.
