Friday Favorites

What are you up to this weekend? We will be visiting my family in Southern California. I am looking forward to girl time with my mom, hanging with my nephews and trying out Citrus Kitchen and Oke Poke for lunch (it never hurts to research some healthy eats before traveling). Squeezing in a date with my husband would be the icing on the cake. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite Home Decor: Engineer Prints + Blue Couch via Yellow Brick Home is a win-win in my book. 

Favorite Recipe: Cheddar Cauliflower Gratin via Naturally Ella.  This is on my list to try asap. We all need healthy comfort food in our lives!

Favorite Outfit: Chunky Knit Cardigan, white tee + jeans via Forever 21. This is what I like for layering these cold days, and pockets are an essential for all moms.

Favorite Beauty Tutorial: Makeup for brown eyes via Simply Sona.  I am by far no makeup genius, and I am a total lip girl, but this is how I wish my eye makeup would look!

Favorite Winter Accessory: Cashmere scarf via J. Crew is so pretty in all colors.  Its a splurge, but worth it to have something extra soft against your neck and face. 

Favorite Song: Baby It's Cold Outside, and especially this version by Idina Menzel & Michael Buble! 

Friday Favorites

What are you up to this weekend? I have a hair appointment with a new hairdresser while my girl is spending a month in Hawaii. Lucky girl and her pre-children freedom! I have decided I am not cutting my hair because her hair is amazing.  We may also explore another local pumpkin patch because Luna loves pumpkins.  Hope you have an awesome weekend, and here my favorites this week.

Favorite Road Trip: Apple Farm in San Luis Obispo is where my husband and I used to go a lot when we were dating.  I can't wait to visit with Luna.

What are you up to this weekend?  Tomorrow we are back to Luna's dance class, and did I mention I secretly want to dress her like this every day. After class, we are having so much fun exploring Sacramento.  Last weekend we had a late brunch at Bacon & Butter which was delicious. Happy Labor Day weekend!

We have been home for a week from vacation, and it took me all week to recuperate. I got our vacation laundry done, and the house is back in order, therefore this weekend feet up and watch Luna play is on our game plan. 

To make matters even better, its Friday and a three day weekend so lets rejoice! Here are today's favorites and some music.

Favorite Jewelry: Raw crystal bracelet -via Niccolleti on Etsy. I love the idea of non-traditional friendship bracelets, and some good juju doesn't hurt. 

Favorite Movie: Dirty Dancing. One of my many favorites, and if its on, I must watch it. This scene reminded me of how I felt like walking down the stairs from our hotel down to the beach! I love to dance and travel...

Favorite made me laugh: Vacation after vacation...for reals!

Favorite Sweatshirt: Off Duty via Sincerely Jules. I am a total sweatshirt girl, and these are on my Fall shopping list.

Favorite Recipe: Paleo Detox Salad via Fed & Fit. One of the things I prefer about being home from vacation is getting back to healthy homemade meals, and I have been on a cabbage slaw fix!

Friday Favorites

Yay, it's Fridayyyyy! My first order of business to share is my parents arrive today and will be visiting with us for a couple days.  You all know what that means...lots of mom & daughter time with my Mama, my husband and I will get a date night, Luna will get lots of extra lovin' from grandma & grandpa, and my birthday celebrations commence.  To say I am excited is an understatement!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! It feels so good when I have a productive week. I got in all my workouts, Luna and I had a fun playdate, and last night we decided to pretend it was Friday which means I got a day off from cooking and we watched TV (not to mention...we had a little Sangria too). It was so so nice!

We plan on continuing our exploration of our local parks, family time and mostly just enjoy a relaxing weekend. 

Here are my Favorites this week, and a little Ain't No Mountain High Enough. 

Favorite Quote: Life Whispers...Listen Closely. I heard this awhile ago, and it recently came back to me.  Many times in life we miss the signs of what's to come and this is a great reminder to listen. 

Favorite Vacation Inspo: Newport Oregon is calling my name.  We have yet to put out feet in the ocean this summer, and I am counting down the days to our vacation. 

Favorite Dress: Reformation-Naveen dress. This dress is perfect to transition into fall.

Favorite Toddler Book: Oh No! Grumpy Monster is coming for tea. Luna has the Under the Sea magnetic story book by the same author, and it keeps her entertained! 

Favorite Seasonal Decor: Fall mantel. I cannot wait to put out our Fall decorations. Fall/Autumn are you here yet?!

Favorite Drink: Summer Fruit Sangria. Summer isn't over yet, and this sangria includes wine, mango & mint--count me in!

Friday Favorites

Friday magic is setting in...Abracadabra the weekend is here! 

This weekend we are going to the park, and if we are really feeling it, getting some chores done and/or TV time with wine--hard to choose. I highly recommend early morning breakfast picnics at the park, and if you have kids letting them play it out till it gets too hot. Our Saturday morning breakfasts at the park are always a highlight of our weekend. It doesn't feel repetitive because we go to a different park every weekend.  A little sunshine and lots of smiles are great therapy!

Favorite Daily Outfit: White Tee and boyfriend jeans is my daily uniform. I found my boyfriend jeans at the thrift store, which are Abercrombie mens jeans I bought for $3 bucks! Diamonds in the rough...

Favorite Recipe (I actually made): Slow Cooker Green Chile Shredded Beef Cabbage Bowl with Avocado Salsa. I skipped on the dressing, and simply tossed the slaw in smashed avocado and juice of 1 lemon with salt & pepper to taste. It was delicious! My husband had the leftover shredded beef for breakfast with eggs--Yum!

Favorite DIY: Painted Ukelele. We bought Luna a ukelele, and I'm thinking I should dress it up. 

Favorite Tattoo Inspiration: Tiny Constellations are beautiful. 

Favorite Find: Vintage Pyrex Coffee Carafe. I found a carafe similar to the one below for $2 bucks. I am not sure what I will use it for. I may search for the candle warmer, use it for mint water or for fresh flowers.
