Friday Favorites

What are you up to this weekend? I have been helping Luna and my husband get better all week, and I am doing all that is in my power not to catch their cold. Hopefully they will be well enough to enjoy the warm weekend weather, and we can turn on the bubble machine, heat up the outdoor grill (these salmon skewers paired with this sound delicious right?!) and relax.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite DIY: Succulent Garden -via The Blondielocks. I have a bunch of empty pots and I can't wait to fill them up with succulents.  I love this bowl garden for an our outdoor table centerpiece. 

Favorite Toddler Find: Glow in the Dark Crescent Pillow -via BambiAndBubble.  We are finally getting serious about updating Luna's room, and I am majorly crushing on these pillows.  

Favorite Recipe: Psychedelic Salad Rolls -via Kate Loves Kale.  I had an avocado veggie roll this week for lunch and I plan to try making them at home.  They're Delicious!  

Favorite Home Decor: City Coordinates Poster -via SITMPrintables.  These posters are so cool.  I love that you can order whatever city you like, and they're simple enough in the black or white to fit in with most decor. 

Favorite Shoes: Topshop Lasercut Flats -via Nordstrom.  I cannot deny I am all about this lace-up shoe trend.  I can't help it.  I think they make my simple jeans and tee outfits look so much better.  

Favorite Song of the Week: Cruisin' by Smokey Robinson because its a jam.  When this song comes on while I am cooking and sipping on wine it makes for the perfect moment.

What are you up to this weekend?  This month has been a little crazy and travel-filled for my husband and I, so our weekends have become our sanctuary.  I am hoping to go to an open farm tour at Pasture 42, and finish up Luna's Easter basket.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are this week's favorites...

Favorite DIY: Sharpie Easter Eggs -via Pinterest. I may actually try to decorate real eggs this year, and using a sharpie is my jam.  Easy focheesy!

Favorite Lipstick: NYX Shocking Pink.  I've been rocking this lipstick lately, and its an instant pick me up.   

Favorite Wanderlust: Muir Beach Overlook -via pebble_and_pearl.  After my solo trip to Long Beach, I really want us to take a little family getaway and there's nothing better than being near the ocean. 

Favorite Shoes: Tassel Sandals -via Target.  The shoes at Target are buy one get one 50% so I think I'll get these for Luna too because a mom must take advantage of the matchy-matchy years. 

Favorite Read: Women's Health Magazine.  If I could buy a stack of magazines every month I would. I know some of them are filled with unrealistic crap, but they're shiny and Women's Health actually provides good information.

Friday Favorites

What are you up to this weekend? It is a rainy day here so I surprised Luna this morning and we put our rain boots on with our pj's and drove thru Starbucks for breakfast.  Last weekend Luna did not want to go to ballet class (we think it was because I was gone), hopefully tomorrow morning goes smoothly.  The remainder of the weekend we have lots of errands to run, but snuggling may win since its going to be rainy.  Also, don't forget Sunday is spring forward. Favorite Outfit: Lightweight Pink Trench + Jeans. During my recent trip to Long Beach, CA I did not expect it to be chilly, but it was.  I recently found a trench similar to this one at TJ Maxx and I totally regret not packing it.  

Favorite Manicure: Negative space with blues.-via yuqico This manicure is so modern and chic. 

Favorite Shoes: Scalloped D'Orsay sandals.-via Loeffler Randall.  These are gorgeous and perfect to transition into summer. 

Favorite Accessory: Pink + Blue Geode Bracelet.-via EwelinaPas etsy shop.  Lately I have been crushing on minerals and geodes.  I love that they are earthy and there is always a story behind them.  

Favorite Song of the Week: Work by Rihanna ft. Drake.  The first time I watched this video I wasn't sure about the song, but now its grown on me.  Plus watching a group of woman get down to this song at my recent conference was amazing! 

Friday Favorites

What are your plans this weekend?  We had a busy week and on top of that all three of us have been sick.  I currently smell like vapor rub and attempting to think through my NyQuil daze.  Therefore, as you can imagine, our weekend plan is to get healthy with lots of rest and Netflix. Favorite Collection: Brooch collection via Miss Imogen Smith. I was given a few brooches, and I want to start collecting them for Luna and I. This is also a beautiful collection. 

Favorite to Wear: A pink cozy sweater would be a pretty on those rainy dreary days when you have to shake of the blah's. 

Favorite Lipstick: Charlotte Tilbury KISSING Lipstick.  I am a red lip girl all the way, but on days when I am casually out with my daughter a nice pink shade wins. 

Favorite Drink: Atole de Fresa (Spanish recipe). This warm sweet strawberry atole (English recipe) reminds me of my mom, and its definitely a holiday treat. 

Favorite Decor: Three Piece Copper Candlestick Set is beautiful.  Lighting candles at the dinner table (even while our Luna is asleep) makes our in-home date nights that much more special. 

Sick days are a viable excuse to watch movies more than usual, and PG dance movies are the way to go (much better than watching Super Why or Tinkerbell). Our movie of choice has been Footloose...come on you know you like it! And proof that Luna loves it too!

Happy Halloween! What are you up to this weekend? We are planning on taking Luna trick-or-treating for the first time.  I chose the easiest cute costume ever, and of course she loved it even more because we were twins.  After the Halloween fun, don't forget to move your clocks back. Favorite Fall Top: Black Turtleneck. I think some woman are turtleneck people and some just aren't into it! I am pro-turtleneck. Since Fall has been holding back on us, I am now ready for winter!

Favorite Toddler Book: Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late! Luna loves all the Pigeon books and mom & dad enjoy them too.  

Favorite Treat: Halloween Donuts via Sophia Mya Cupcakes. These would be a great treat for Luna tomorrow morning! Its great that Halloween is on a Saturday this year.

Friday Favorites (Birthday Edition)

Today is my birthday! In case you are wondering how young I turn today, check out this post. 

This week I was spoiled by my parents and husband, and now its time for vacation. We are heading out on our adventure up to Oregon.  We are so excited!

Friday Favorites

I am still on a happy high from last weekend.  As I mentioned my husband and I had an overnight stay in downtown Sacramento and my parents were here for a few days. I was in heaven! I got to dance the night away with my husband, and got to enjoy some time with my parents. All the people I love! 

I will admit though this weekend I am looking forward to doing a whole lot of nada. Back to reality--just the three of us. Sometimes having nothing planned is the best. 

Here are some of my favorite things on this fabulous Friday:

Favorite Shoes: DV by Dolce Vita Breelyn Dress Sandals. I tried these on and they felt like butter! Perfect to pair with a spring skirt. 

Favorite Face Serum: Ole Henriksen Truth Serum® Vitamin C Collagen Booster. Lately I have been into face serums, and this is the one I am currently using and loving. 

Favorite Toddler Room Inspiration: Poppy's big girl room. We recently purchased Luna this IKEA Minnen bed. It is a start for when she is ready to transition out of her crib, and I cannot wait to redecorate. 

Favorite Go-To Healthy Meal: Sashimi over a Mixed Greens salad. I absolutely love sushi, but I do not eat rice so I always order sashimi. I recently discovered that I at my local Folsom Whole Foods I can order some mix sashimi at the sushi bar (if available) and prepare my salad while I wait. It is so delicious and healthy! 

Favorite Press-On Nails: Kiss Gel Fantasy ready-to-wear nails. When I have no time to do my nails, these are my little secret. Not anymore because they are too good to keep to myself! I get tons of compliments. I recently went to get a pedicure and the nail lady thought I had my nails professionally done. She was shocked when I told her I put them on myself. If you give them a try, I promise you will get better at putting them on--practice makes perfect!

Favorite Quote: "I want it all, and I would like it delivered. -Bette Midler. This quote instantly made me smile! I am seriously obsessed with delivery services. If I lived in the city instead of a suburb, I would get everything delivered! Hmmmm....good reason to move into San Francisco.
